Once surfaces have been cleaned and improved, the next stage we recommend is to protect. We suggest protecting with an anti-microbial protectant.

Anti-Microbial Protectants work differently from a disinfectant as they leave a coating that has a longer-term residual action. This can be from 24hrs, as is the case with GermErase 24 and up to 30 days.

Please note, it is imperative that surfaces are clean, we suggest less than 10 on ATP measurement, to afford long term protection with an anti-microbial protectant, and surfaces should still be cleaned daily or as necessary.

The disinfectant or microbial protectant you use will determine the protection in your facility. Cleaning is the number one priority for infection control, disinfectants are useful after an outbreak and protectants can help keep microbial levels to a minimum between cleans.
