Denis Rawlins is very proud to have been supplying the cleaning industry for over 50 years, and there has never been a better time to work in such an important industry.

My message to our industry is to always remember cleaning is defined as, ‘the removal of dirt both seen and unseen, which on occasion I think gets forgotten. Since the pandemic of 2020 it is evident that cleaning is our first line of defence for infection control. Our Remove, Improve, Protect process is a simple yet science-based cleaning protocol, that gives you the confidence you need to return to a normal way of life.

Nigel Cotterill

NIGEL COTTERILL

CHAIRMAN AND GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR

Following a degree in Law, Nigel has had 33 years in the chemical, cleaning and facilities maintenance market. An accredited facilitator for the Franklin Covey organisation, Nigel is also a licensed practitioner of NLP and a Fellow of the Institute of Sales Management. 

Aside from a passionate desire for values driven organisational development and growth, Nigel is a keen golfer and loves any type of competitive sport particularly cricket and tennis.

Nigel's biggest inspiration is great attitudes and a desire to get better -people who believe something is possible and find a way of doing it.

John Traynor

John Traynor BTech (Hons) ACA

Group Financial Director

John is the Financial Director of Denis Rawlins Ltd and has been with the company for over 5 years.

John joined Arthur Young (now Ernst and Young) after university and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1982. John was part of the team that purchased Denis Rawlins from Stephen Rawlins in 2012 and is responsible for the administrative and financial functions of the company.

He is a family man with a wife, 2 grown up daughters, a dog and 3 cats! He looks at the staff of Rawlins as part of his extended family and treats them accordingly. John also enjoys playing sports, especially golf and tennis and is known for being quite competitive.

James White

Managing Director

James has been at Denis Rawlins since June 2012, where he joined as then Joint Managing Director.

James is a keen walker, golfer and skier and can often be found outdoors somewhere when not working. James is also a Trustee and Secretary of the Itala Foundation Charity which runs a school for 1500 orphans and vulnerable children in Mkushi Zambia as well as Cameron’s Children’s Home which houses some of the most vulnerable Orphans.

James is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners and a Freeman of the city of London. James says “In my remaining years in this industry I would like to help raise standards and efficiencies and help create a sustainable cleaning industry. We have a great team at Rawlins who all believe in our vision to Inspire, Challenge and Care. I am very interested to hear of your experience with our company and if there is anything we can do to improve that experience”

With a background covering Washroom Services and Cleaning and Hygiene Distribution.

She has 3 teenage children a Dog and Cat. Her weekends are spent mainly on the side of football pitches watching her boys or hiking with her daughter and dog.

Her passions are my kids, friends and family, cooking and music.

She is passionate about the cleaning and hygiene sector and love being involved with new innovative solutions.
