Stain Lift, a new brand now stocked by Rawlins, officially launches on 1 November 2026. The product is the STAIN LIFT Ultra Strength Mat & Textile Stain Remover: a 500ml trigger spray with a plant-powered formula, made in Britain. Rawlins is the first place to feature Stain Lift ahead of its wider launch, and you can already find it on Rawlins.

We've supplied cleaning equipment and chemicals to UK businesses since 1981, and these days we weigh environmental performance alongside quality, suitability and value when choosing what to stock. Stain Lift fits that approach: it leads on performance and backs it up with honest, label-based green credentials.

Meet Stain Lift: ultra strength on wine, blood, oil and grime

Stain Lift is built for the spills that land on mats and soft textiles first. It targets four stubborn everyday stains:

  • Wine
  • Blood
  • Oil
  • Grime

Most stain advice is written either for washing machines or for full extraction cleaning. Stain Lift is for the surfaces in between: the mats, rugs and soft textiles that can't go in a washer or be flooded with water. The front of the bottle highlights three features: revitalises fibres, easy spray and plant powered.

What's inside: a plant-powered formula

Buyers should know what they're spraying, so here is what Stain Lift's label says:

  • A plant-based formula with more than 30% plant-derived non-ionic green surfactants, plus vegetable extracts. Surfactants are the ingredients that loosen soiling and lift it from fibres. In Stain Lift, they're plant-derived.
  • Biodegradable, as stated on the label.
  • Made in Britain.

The safety data sheet adds some useful detail. Stain Lift is a colourless liquid with a characteristic vegetal odour and a pH of around 5, and it is not classified as hazardous under GB CLP, so it carries no hazard pictograms or signal word. That's a classification rather than a safety promise, and the label care instructions still apply.

Built for hospitality and facilities teams

Stain Lift is mainly a household product, but at Rawlins our focus is the businesses that keep their spaces looking right every day.

Spot-treat between deep cleans

In hotels, guest houses, restaurants, bars and workplace receptions, appearance is part of the welcome. A wine drip by the bar, oil tracked in from the car park, grime ground into a lobby rug: small marks on entrance mats and soft furnishings get noticed long before the next scheduled deep clean. Stain Lift gives housekeeping, front-of-house and facilities teams a ready-to-use spray for spot-treating marks as they happen, between deep cleans.

If you look after entrance areas, browse our commercial matting range too.

One routine every team member can follow

The same five steps work every time (see below), with a dwell of just 1–2 minutes. That makes Stain Lift easy to add to a housekeeping checklist or a front-of-house shift routine.

Appearance, not hygiene

Be clear on what Stain Lift is for. It's a stain remover for mats and textiles. The label states "Do not use for medical or hygiene purposes", so it sits alongside your hygiene products, not in place of them.

What sustainability and procurement teams can check

More procurement teams now weigh environmental performance alongside price and suitability. We do the same in our own operations, as we explained in our recent post on driving towards Net Zero. For Stain Lift, the label-backed points are:

  • A plant-based formula with a stated plant-derived surfactant content
  • Biodegradable, as stated on the label
  • Made in Britain
  • Not classified as hazardous under GB CLP, useful context for your COSHH assessments

At home, too

For households, Stain Lift is made for everyday moments: red wine on the living-room rug, a muddy patch on the hallway mat, a drip of cooking oil on a soft furnishing. Stain Lift's own website, stainlift.co.uk, is opening soon and will carry practical stain-by-stain guides for home use.

How to use Stain Lift: the five-step method

These are the directions printed on the label:

  1. Prep: Remove excess surface dirt or liquid with a clean cloth.
  2. Apply: Spray directly onto the affected area.
  3. Dwell: Leave for 1–2 minutes to allow the plant-powered actives to break down the stain.
  4. Lift: Gently agitate with a soft brush or scour sponge.
  5. Finish: Wipe clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.

The label also says: "Always test in a hidden area prior to use and only proceed when satisfied." Other label care points include: avoid contact with eyes and skin, do not mix with any other preparations, and keep out of reach of children and animals.
